The German sea plane Do-X resumed its trans Atlantic flight to South America departing Las Palmas in the Canary Islands and landing this afternoon on the west coast of Africa at Rio de Oro near Villa Cisneros. It is the largest flying boat, and its voyage from Altenrhein began with earlier repairs after a wing was destroyed in Lisbon.

Henderson Man Killed in Auto Collision
Henderson, May 1. W. B. Maynard, 37, of Henderson, died from injuries after a car collision with a Wilmington truck. Maynard and May Ragland of Norlina were found unconscious in the wreckage. Ragland suffered minor injuries. Police seek the truck driver who fled the scene.

Raleigh May 1 The house approved the Crouse Gill Turner bill on second reading to tighten public service regulation by the corporation commission in a 56 to 17 vote. Three revenue bills were introduced to amend the biennial measure and several reform proposals were listed including repealing licenses on bottlers movies and soft drink dealers and removing admission taxes for circuses and carnivals. The house adjourned for the day.
