Sources close to the White House say there is world wide fear Germany may extend its domination of races to new continents. Britain and France pledge to fight if Poland is threatened, signaling to Germany that war would stem from invasion rather than other causes.
Brooklyn sends Bill Posedel to Boston Bees for catcher Al Todd. In Pinehurst the North and South Women's Golf tournament reaches the finals as Estelle Lawson Page and Dorothy Kirby win semi finals with Page defeating Jean Bauer 6 and 4 and Kirby beating Mrs. Hockenjos 7 and 6.
Penal Superintendent Oscar Pitts said authorities searched a swamp about 12 miles from the Pender county prison camp for escapee James McNeill. The 21 year old convict was serving 18 to 20 years for second degree murder in Nash county, with the escape occurring yesterday.

A facsimile claimed to cite a German adviser Von Schubert and Muller, the Nazi in Argentina, suggesting Patagonia as a no man’s land for German colonization.
Chicago March 31. The Central States Governors Industrial Council formed by Illinois Indiana Michigan Ohio and Wisconsin announced its first task to fight proposed equalization of northern and southern freight rates. Renzo Sawada informed the French ambassador that Japan will place the reefs under Taiwan governor general to avoid disputes with France.
Paris reports France and Romania signed a trade and economic accord to curb Soviet penetration in Southeastern Europe. Foreign Minister Georges Bonnet and Romanian Ambassador G Tafarescu witnessed the signing, with Albert Lebrun summoning the cabinet to decide on possible military aid to Poland if Nazi aggression expands.
