The Greater Greensboro Open at Forest Oaks starts Thursday with $235,000 in prize money and NBC to televise the final two rounds. Defending champion Al Geiberger may not have played the par 72 course. absent stars include Jack Nicklaus Tom Watson Ben Crenshaw Bruce Lietzke and Lee Trevino. Tom Weiskopf and Hale Irwin return as former champions involved in the event.
