Actor Would Divorce Churchill's Daughter
Vic Oliver, radio and screen star, asked an English court to grant him divorce from Sarah Churchill Oliver, daughter of Prime Minister Churchill, on grounds of desertion. Oliver, an Austrian-born United States citizen, testified she left him in September 1941 and refused to return, though he had written asking her to do so. He cited their mutual self willed temperaments as the cause of the rift.
