Practical relief urged for low farming mood with horse use
Wayne Dinsmore of the Horse Association of America urges practical relief through lower production costs and greater animal use. He cites large teams of horses or mules and a tying-in system to boost daily work, especially in Oregon, Washington, and Montana, and notes the impact of trucks on animal markets. He links meat and cereal consumption to farm-product demand and urges offset by work-animal intake.

Death ends Blackfoot dancer Running Bells at Glacier Park
Running Bells, eight, famed as the premier juvenile Blackfoot dancer and former child star in Indian films, died recently on the Glacier National Park reservation. He was the son of Crow Feathers, once on the Carlisle football team, and was known as the Jackie Coogan of American Indians. A Montana letter from his father conveyed the Native view of the death as a summons from the Great Spirit.
