Sears on piano performed two songs, and Davidson college track team member Mr. Faison recited the poem Little You. The program was led by Thomas W. Sprinkle and Charles Spen.

Instant Death In Crash Involving 13 Meet
A New York university student and seven others including Captain F L Bohner and co pilot Howard Warwick died in a Newark to Pittsburgh flight crash. Investigations by the coroner, airline, and federal inspectors followed. Officials cited radio log secrecy and plane was approaching land when crash occurred.
