Handicapped Flock To Easter Seal Recreation Drive
High Point residents join a Tuesday afternoon program at the Day Center for Handicapped on FE Green St under Easter Seal funding. Miss Evelyn McNeely supervises with Dan Jackson. volunteers include Mrs. Jack Rochelle. Activities cover woodcraft leather work painting basket weaving and movies with a tape recorder for non hand users. Barbers donate profits March 27 and envelopes mailed for Easter Seals. drive runs until April 10.

The city recreation department announces spring hours at Armstrong Park on Brookside Drive and Shirley Avenue. Weekday hours are 3 to 5 pm, Saturdays 1 to 5 pm. A Phi Epsilon linked team, The Eagles, is forming for baseball with meetings Mondays at 3 30 pm. A post Easter clinic for aspiring players will be announced.
