Car Plunges Into Durham Reservoir Fatal Duke Student Dies

In Durham North Carolina a 27 year old Duke University medical student Michael Lee Robison from Anniston Alabama died from a skull fracture when his convertible plunged off a dead end street into the city reservoir. A 22 year old nursing student Judy Davis escaped and was treated for shock. Police said the car sailed 91 feet before landing and bounced 51 feet into 10 feet of water. The crash occurred about 10 p.m. and the vehicle was recovered around midnight.

Soviets To Return U S Fliers In East Germany

The Soviet Union agreed to return two American fliers shot down over East Germany on March 10, with a third crew member freed earlier.
