Picasso Discussed By Miss Martin At AAUW Study Group
Miss Martin led the Modern Art study group of AAUW at Mrs. T. G. Gray’s home on J street to discuss Pablo Picasso. She called the 68 year old Spaniard living in Paris the best known living painter and traced his move from Blue and Rose periods to his Cubist phase. She noted his draftsman skill and the impact of his work on peace and art education, highlighting Girl Before The Mirror as a famous abstraction. The meeting ended with refreshments served by the hostess.
