Interim minister named for Presbyterian church
Dr James M Efird named interim supply pastor for the Presbyterian church on W Lexington Avenue effective April 2. The congregation has been without a regular minister since May last year when Rev Sam R Hope resigned to become a missionary in Vietnam. Efird, a Kansas City native and graduate of Davidson College and Louisville Presbyterian Seminary, earned his PhD from Duke University in 1962 and serves as assistant professor of Biblical studies at Duke University.
