New York March 18 Charges against officials of the American Cotton Exchange will be presented to the grand jury District Attorney Banton announced after a telephone conference with Chief City Magistrate McAdoo. Banton seeks charges against southern cotton men and others who suffered from bucketing orders and asked Mrs. McAdoo to preside a magistrates court hearing. Prohibition Agents Seize Still Near Pleasant Grove Stanly
In Concord on March 18 prohibition officers raided a 40 gallon still near Pleasant Grove church in Stanly County. They seized six gallons of liquor and 125 gallons of beer. Three men fled. one man escaped after Agent Widenhouse tripped. Also found was a 15 gallon copper still behind the McDonald property. a boy reported seeing it at a rear swimming hole. The still was built to use a gas burner.

Arrest in dynamite plot targets Gilmerton bridge
Portsmouth Virginia March 18 W W H Calloway, former employee of the Virginia Railway Power Co Portsmouth division, is held in Norfolk jail after his arrest at the scene last night in an apparent attempt to blow up the Gilmerton traction bridge across Paradise creek. Five others escaped in an automobile when authorities discovered the dynamite planting.

Massive Prohibition Raid Seizes Smuggled Whisky Vessel
Four thousand cases of imported whisky valued at $5960,6000: a two masted schooner the Viking renamed Clara a moving van and two touring cars plus twenty four prisoners seized by the New York customs special service at an abandoned East Tiffany Street Pier in the Bronx.
