Penny Has Court Library Bill Tabled In Senate
In Raleigh on March 17 Senator George Penny of Guilford blocked a High Point library bill for the municipal court. The measure would have funded a library via $1 to $2 extra court costs and placed a library commission under the municipal court judge. Penny opposed court penalties and the bill died for this session. The Guilford delegation showed division as Rep Crissman of High Point and Reps Hutton Moseley of Greensboro supported the wine sale regulation measure, while Rep Cavness of Greensboro opposed. The bill now heads to the House calendar committee.
