Emergency Judges Replaces Bevu Jurist in State
Emergency judge reform replaces the Beva jurist with a new system. The old emergency judges served 28 individuals across 95 terms, with the act expiring March 1 and a May 1 start for the regular emergency judge act. Governor McLean named four to the posts amid forecasted stability, while Judge C C Lyon remains as a stopgap option. The change aims to fix court backlog and set a two year trial period before further reform.
