Southern Railway to Honor 1758 Long–Service Veterans
President Fairfax Harrison will award bronze medals to 1758 Southern Railway employees who have over 25 years of continuous service. Medals will be presented in Alexandria, Keensboro, Charlotte, Atlanta, Birmingham, Knoxville, and St. Louis between March 16 and March 22. The design, by Vic Brenner, depicts a modern rail line and factory symbols, with the honorees’ names and service dates engraved.
