County Budget Outlook Hinges On State Actions

Metz reports few bills passed so far with final action pending on most. The $19.3 million baseline for 1976-77 would rise to about $40 million when medical programs are added. The county contributes about $560,000 of the $12 million phase of the program and faces possible higher local shares if state plans to cut or delay aid affect local units. Title 20 support aims for $300,000 for 1976-77, bringing total to $4.6 million, with fewer dollars expected due to higher living costs.
