Lawrence Holt 77 a retired textile executive died at his home in Asheville after a long illness. A Sunnyside, Alamance County native and 1904 UNC graduate he headed Lawrence S Holt & Sons and owned Aurora Cotton Mills Burlington and Gem Cotton Mills Gibsonville. He served as an executive at several mills and agencies. Survived by sisters Mrs. Holt Clark and Mrs. Walter Brooks and brother Erwin A. Holt.
