High Point YMCA Tournaments Slated For March
The annual High Point YMCA event is scheduled for March at the local Y gymnasium with four competition classes for boys and a girls division. Fifty-one teams will compete over ten days for trophies and an all tournament team will be named. Monday matches feature Class C games including Wildmen ac Court Central vs Clinard Oil and four more pairings. Tuesday schedule includes Grant Oil vs Deans hoppe Rite and three additional showdowns.

A 100 mile late model stock car race at Spartanburg Fairgrounds Track was postponed due to overnight rain with no new date set. A 150 mile event is planned Sunday in Hillsborough North Carolina with time trials at 1 p.m. and the race at 12:30 p.m. The purse is 7250 dollars, winner 1400 dollars.
