Lucille Lee Whisenant and Bobby Ronald Berrier announce their engagement. The May 18 ceremony is planned at Mills Home Baptist Church. Miss Whisenant, a Ledford High School 1962 graduate, attends Ashmore Business College and works at Thomasville Furniture Industries. Berrier, a Pilot High School graduate, is employed by James Inc in High Point and serves in the National Guard in Thomasville.
Lambda chapter Alpha Delta Kappa heard a program on Dimensions of Leadership at a Mayfair Cafeteria meeting. Speaker Mary Hunter from Woman's College School of Education discussed how leadership is measured by goals and the teacher's evolving responsibilities in a changing world.
The guidance states that compressed yeast should be softened in water between 80 and 85 degrees, while granular dry yeast requires water at 105 to 110 degrees.
Dr Marcus Aderholdt addressed the Young Wives Club of the YWCA on preventing childhood accidents. He cautioned that medicines and household substances can be deadly if accessible to kids and outlined emergency steps and fever care tips. Mrs J C Fuller introduced him as adult program director.
High Point chapter 106, Order of the Eastern Star, will elect new officers at the Tuesday meeting. The session at the Masonic Temple is scheduled for 7 30 p m.
