RALEIGH March 9 An election in Currituck County to legalize pari mutuel betting was introduced in a bill. Rep E R Johnson Currituck filed the measure authorizing the county to hold a vote and appoint a three member racing commission to grant a franchise for a track. The commission would receive 1 percent of gross daily receipts with 50 percent to the county school fund 25 percent to the welfare fund and 25 percent to the general fund.
