Girl Scout Week runs today through Saturday with 1850 plus members of the Keyaunee Council among over 3.5 million Scouts nationwide. The theme A Promise in Action marks the 52nd birthday on March 12 and events include paries for parents, school assemblies, and daily program phases from homemaking to outdoors led by 98 troops in High Point area.

Curved Bar Awards Given To 15 In Girl Scout Troop
Fifteen girls of Girl Scout Troop 48 received curved bars at a ceremony in First Presbyterian Church. They earned the high intermediate rank after about a year of work in Adventuring in the Arts. Badges included reader minstrel prints and player. Proceeds from a player badge play funded a trip to the 1965 New York World's Fair.
