Double M Club hosts a spring fashion luncheon at the Adams Memorial YWCA with 35 Modernette Club guests. Hats jewelry gloves and accessories lined the tables while models presented spring styles. Door prizes went to four members and the group plans a joint event with Modernette Club on April 20.

At Kirchofer Post 206 the auxiliary met at a home on Super Highway for a business session, new members Mrs Richard Reavis and Mrs Bryce Cummings attended, Mrs Oscar Ellington presiding, and a Girls State selection to be made by Mrs W A Sparks. a bingo party report and door prize noted.

SAT Catesby Bird Club Field Trip Described by James Maddox
James Maddox, leader of the Catesby Bird Club, outlined a South Carolina field trip during a club meeting attended by Carolina Bird Club members at Hilton Head Beach. They observed ringed plovers, wilson snipes, curlews, yellowlegs, rails, ducks, gannets, coots, fish hawks and other hawks. The Wrightsville Beach area was noted for sea birds on the North Carolina coast, with 116 watchers from both states at the convention. Refreshments were provided by Mrs D R Parker. Maddox and club president Mrs. Maddox attended.
