All play producing groups in Eastern North Carolina are invited to the Eastern Regional Drama Festival to be held March 19 21. Performances will be staged in Howard Chapel on the Atlantic Christian College campus.
About 1200 leading physicists will attend the national meeting of the American Physical Society at Duke University and the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill March 26 to 28. Dr Walter M Nielson of Duke says it will be the society's second meeting held in the South.

More than 2,000 North Korean prisoners of war staged a riot on Yonchu Island Saturday. United Nations troops crushed the revolt with 283 killed and 42 injured among the prisoners.
Sen. McCarthy said the investigations subcommittee found nothing to show Kaplan, a Voice of America radio engineer, acted wrongly. Kaplan, 42, died after stepping in front of a Cambridge truck. a death by own action certificate was issued. The panel will review Kaplan's files and a note left by him while continuing to study Voice equipment waste concerns.
