Fifty Years In One Greensboro Jail Largely Stays Same
Guilford County jail on the courthouse fourth floor shows little change in 50 years with the same cell blocks and bars, modernized kitchen, and a jailer not living in the jail area. About 92 inmates occupy the facility daily as they wait for trial or transport, with trusties in a separate area and staff of seven managing bookings, meals, visits, and security.
