Personality Profile Horace J Stepp

History is people and moments for Horace J Stepp and his son Jeffrey. In High Point and along the Eastern Seaboard they study the past through a local museum diorama and a growing collection. Stepp, High Point Historical Society librarian, helped found exhibits and lends his Civil War era items while pursuing Revolutionary War pieces. He plans a building fund campaign sparked by a $50 000 challenge gift to expand the museum and restore Haley Inn as part of an historic park. Stepp served in the 100th Infantry Division in World War II, later joined High Point police and now works in traffic engineering maintenance. Jeffery, a student at Emma Blair School, aids in the history project.
