Vietnamese Delegation Leaves Rangoon After Thant Contact

Two members of a North Vietnamese delegation flew home today amid reports they met secretly with U.N. Secretary-General U Thant in Burma. The group’s chief envoy Col Ha Van Lau and Foreign Office official Nguyen Tu Huyen departed, while Consul General Le Tong Sun stayed behind. Thant was traveling to New York and did not comment.
