High Point residents gathered at the High Point Theatre and Exhibition Center for an Arts Council party featuring the Fine Art Guild in the main gallery and Tar Heel Needlework Guild upstairs. Alica Kennedy and Joanne Jones were chosen to represent the Insurance Women of High Point at the National Association of Insurance Women regional conference in Arlington Virginia next week. Kennedy will attend the NC Association of Insurance Women nominating committee meeting in March.

Dr Mark Sills outlined Urban Ministry activities led by Contact and the Pitcher and Cup. The program aims to help many, with 24 hour telephone support, 150 volunteers, and partnerships with regional agencies. Ninety percent of funding comes from local churches as he described efforts across three counties and youth camps in North Carolina.
