A school presentation of Jack and the Beanstalk features staged scenery by Mrs. Julian White and a large volunteer committee including Mrs. Earl Ludgin, Mrs. William Kuhn, and Mrs. John Franklin Lynch Jr. Mrs. Lipscomb is promoter and City Transfer & Storage supplies tarps. Performances run March 11 to March 10 at various schools with times listed.
Mrs Harrison hosted the meeting in the dining room with refreshments from a banquet table topped by yellow chrysanthemum and snapdragon arrangements with blue Dutch iris. Mrs William D Simmons poured tea as Mrs H L Brockmann led the business session. Twelve members attended.
A Garden Study Club session is planned for Wednesday at 10 a.m. Hostess Mrs. Goley Marlette of 2092 Garden Rd will welcome members. Floral arrangements will be evaluated by Mrs. J. H. Davis, an accredited judge.
Pride and Patience Garden Club members will meet Tuesday at Mrs. Bill Aldridge's home on S Main Street. Speaker Mrs A E Williams will discuss Easter floral designs at 7:30 p.m.
Women of the Moose will gather Monday at 7 30 p m at the Moose Lodge to enroll candidates A Cancer Month observance will include a film on cancer and a medical speaker.
Miss Juanita Burrows and her fiancé John Nelson will be honored at a barbecue supper Friday at 6 39 p m at the Carl W Nelson home 2033 Wesley Drive Hosts and hostesses include Carl W Nelson J Dewey Nelson and Sylvia Farlow The wedding is set for March 28 at First Baptist Church Parents C Michael Burrows and W Clarence Nelson are expected to attend.
Xi Psi exemplar chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will meet Monday at 7 45 p m. Mrs John A Christensen Jr of 1402 Desk Dr will be hostess.
