Check Light Fixtures Before Blaming Bulbs
Raleigh advises homeowners to inspect fixtures before blaming bulbs for burnout. Excess heat from poor fixture design or excessive wattage shortens bulb life. ensure bulbs are firmly seated and avoid overvoltage. Consider 125 to 130 volt bulbs for 120 V circuits and use long life bulbs only in non critical, hard to reach areas.
