Ex-broadcaster Faulk wins 3.5 million libel verdict

Former radio and TV personality John Henry Faulk was awarded 3.5 million dollars in libel damages after an 11 week trial against Aware Inc and two individuals. The jury sided 11 to 1 with Faulk, granting 1 million dollars in compensatory damages and 1.25 million in punitive damages from each defendant, with limits on Johnson’s estate.

Freeman tests steps to curb Estes style scandals

Sir Winston Churchill will be operated on tonight for a fractured left thigh at Middlesex Hospital. The operation follows his return from Monte Carlo where he injured himself in a hotel room fall.
