In Clinton North Carolina Dr J M Chestnutt recovered a lost ring found by 11 year old Claudia Herring while diving for sand at White Lake. The ring bore Chestnutt’s name and was returned to him after more than two decades.
Lionel Adams 23 of Southbury was paged at a Shelton movie theater. He left his seat in the lobby where state policeman Glen Thomas met him and booked him on a charge of stealing a rowboat. He posted $100 bail and was released.
