Goldwater Sees Daughter Married
Senator Bartop Goldwater attended his daughter Peggy’s wedding at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Phoenix. The 20 year old bride, in a white gown with pearl bodice and long train, walked down the aisle to a 104 degree desert night, with 800 guests and police directing traffic. Richard Holt, 25, was the groom, and Arlen Holt played a small film role rumor-free. The ceremony followed a lengthy campaign period and mirrored Goldwater family traditions at the same church where he was christened.
