Stamp News notes end of migratory stamps and new 1936-37 issue
The migratory bird hunting stamps go on sale through June 30 with the 1936-37 series available July 1 at all post offices. Other stamps withdrawn at the Philatelic Agency include the blue 16 cent airmail special delivery and the National Parks set, not to be reprinted. A 1873 postal card found links S S Bumstead and Henry M Burt. The Senate favors a three cent Harvard anniversary stamp, but final post office decision is uncertain. Philippine stamps mark Jose Rizal’s birth with six and 36 centavos values, sold at Barr Building Washington. Return postage or stamped return envelopes advised with money orders.
