Permanent Reduction Of .3 Of A Cent On Gas Per Gallon Is Declared Here
High Point lowers gasoline price by .3 cent per gallon to 22.5 cents at most local stations. The move, urged by the High Point chamber of commerce, reduced the Greensboro High Point price gap and involved several oil companies. Secretary F J Sizemore estimates drivers save about 1800 dollars monthly as about 600000 gallons are sold locally each month. The chamber pressed the issue citing freight differentials while noting Greensboro prices average 22.2 to 23.2 cents per gallon.
