United States to send F100 jets to Korea to counter balance

At Atlantic Beach North Carolina builders from the North Carolina Brick and Tile Assn opened a $15 000 hurricane test house. General manager H B Foster said the three bedroom home with reinforced brick walls and hollow steel rod chambers will stand idle for weather tests to learn if winds tides and debris can be repelled.

Bomb found in subway stairwell raises mad bomber alarm

New York police found a home made live bomb in an unused stairwell at the Broadway LaFayette station, a second device in a week. A note asked Is this still crude and referenced the first blast. The original bomber George Metesky remains in custody. no one killed in his 32 blasts.

Plunges Down In Backyard Plane Crash Near Clarksburg

A Capital Airlines DC3 on a training flight crashed between Washington and Frederick, Maryland, two miles north of Clarksburg. Two sons were killed and a third man aboard is believed dead. U S Forces Begin Withdrawal From Japan

President Eisenhower and Prime Minister Kishi announce the prompt withdrawal of all U S ground combat forces from Japan with about 30 000 troops to start leaving next month and a substantial overall reduction within a year. Doug Abrams bought the land for apartments or a hotel and plans to lease the mansion site to Mike until the bird dies. Miss Victoria Wilson heir to the Wilson estate shares the land and aviary with two other parrots. Mike receives daily brandy to sustain him.
