In Washington Republican leaders expect the House to pass a request urging President Truman to invoke the Taft Hartley Act to end the steel strike. The administration says it lacks enough votes to block the move, while the National Production Authority reports an emergency plan to ship finished steel from 132 warehouses to resume defense production.
