Englehorn Seeks Fifth Straight WIN on GW Classic greens
Shirley Englehorn aims for a record fourth straight title on the LPGA tour as she competes in the George Washington Classic at Hidden Springs. The Palm Desert star faces 58 pros and six amateurs with Kathy Whitworth as a key challenger after last week’s playoff loss in Sutton. Englehorn’s four straight wins built a lead near the money list top, with more than $15,000 earned in recent weeks.
