Deaths Attributed to Methane Gas In Liquor Pit
Three men Paul Antimori James Valenti and Nick Midulla were found dead near a liquor pit under a garage floor in Tampa. Doctor D G Meighen said methane gas caused the deaths, noting marsh gas forms from decomposed matter and acts like carbon monoxide from autos. Bodies were hoisted from the pit with a rope of bed sheets and revived attempts used ammonia and alcohol. Identification of those who moved the bodies remains unknown.
