Mount McKinley litter a rising problem says climbers
Mountaineers on Mt McKinley report the peak has become a garbage dump with mattresses beer cans and rope littering snow. A Swiss team echoed the complaint and ranger Ned Lewis warned that if trashing continues a garbage trail to the summit could form in five years. Escalating climbs this decade, from four expeditions ten years ago to about 40 teams this summer, drive the waste.
