Additional workmen added to Yadkin bridge project
Lexington June 16 an extra force of workmen is assigned to the building of the new bridge across the Yadkin river on highway 75 linking Davidson and Davie counties. Construction has shown good progress with a pier in the river pouring and piles driven. Two concrete mixers have been deployed to speed the work while rock from the area is being crushed for use in the bridge.

Enterprise Bureau reports Davidson County may provide an emergency landing field for the New York and Atlanta air mail route.
