The 29th annual John Wesley Camp Meeting runs July 1 to 11 featuring three evangelists Dr W L Surbrook Dr J C McPheeters and Dr Harry W Blackburn and singer Rev J W Stiles at a site near Highway 68 North Carolina. Rev W Wilbur Grace of Eden serves as president. The first camp was organized in 1942 by four ministers aiming to bring this open arbor evangelical gathering to central North Carolina.
The Rolling Stones will create Rolling Stones Records with Atco Records handling U S distribution. The first release is the single Brown Sugar, followed by the album Sticky Fingers with cover art by Andy Warhol.
