Thomasville Chapter 171 of the Order of the Eastern Star hosted a tribute to retiring 14th District grand patron Prevete Westmoreland. Dr John R Bender and Mrs Edith Culp delivered tributes as a Father s Day program honored fathers and all brothers with roses and Bible bookmarks. A supper preceded the meeting and a presentation of china acknowledged Westmoreland s accomplishments.
The Busy Bee Garden Club meets Tuesday at 12 noon for a picnic at Mrs. Willis Anderson’s home located at 2701 Centennial Ave. The event focuses on outdoor gardening talk and social time for members.
