Two Garden Clubs Launch Two-Block Beautification Plan
Suburban and College Heights garden clubs with 19 members start a two block beautification project at the Montlieu and Elwood Avenues corner. They cleared the area, seeded grass, cleaned the creek and planted flowers and plan shrubs a sidewalk a small park and playground with picnic facilities. Credit is given to George Dean and Fred Yoder for assistance with clearing liming fertilization and seeding. They are currently cutting weeds along the creek bed and preparing to plant annuals.
