Piedmont Millers to Stage Annual Meet in Richmond
The Piedmont Millers association plans its annual gathering in Richmond Virginia June 19 to 21. Over 200 millers from Maryland to Georgia and associates from 14 other states will attend with speakers from the United States Chamber of Commerce and the National Food Bureau. Col J Fulmer Bright will welcome delegates. The meeting aims to discuss milling trade practices and forecast the July 1 crop.

Two Year Old Ruby Whitley Dies After Illness
Ruby Juanita Whitley two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Whitley died Wednesday at 5 45 pm at their home 1208 Park street after a ten day illness. She leaves the parents a brother J M Whitley Jr and grandparents Mr and Mrs C A Patterson and Mrs Lucinda Whitley all of High Point. A short service was held at the home at 9 am by Rev O A Elmore after which the funeral party proceeded to Rock Creek church for services and interment in the church cemetery.
