The report asks for enrollment and ADA for six months term 1929-30 and 1930-31 for each white and colored elementary and high school, plus the number of teachers allowed for each school and county under the Hancock act, any additional teachers employed, and the funding source. It requests a county road map and current school bus routes shown on maps. It notes the new school law gives Board of Equalization power to reroute lines, consolidate schools, and cut costs while preserving efficiency. It highlights a provision denying bus transport within 1.5 miles of a school, saving about 750 dollars daily and 50,000 miles of travel, with operating cost around 15 cents per mile.
