Hunt seeks federal aid for Kernersville water crisis
Gov. Hunt urged President Carter for 2 million in disaster relief to clean Kernersville reservoir after vandals released industrial waste. A temporary Winston-Salem water connection will bring 350000 to 400000 gallons daily while about 900000 gallons a day are consumed locally.
