Guilford Farm assistant agent Wilbur Sam Strickland, 44, of Greensboro, died unexpectedly at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. He served seven years in Guilford County and five years with the Marine Corps during World War II. He was a North Carolina State College graduate. Cemetery and funeral arrangements pending. Survivors include a sister and nephew in Thomasville, his wife, two children, four brothers and two sisters. He resided in Thomasville 1946 to 1948.
