Concord to Get Morton Frozen Foods Poultry Plant
RALEIGH AP Morton Frozen Foods, a Continental Baking Co division, will open a poultry processing and storage plant in Concord within 60 days. The Phebe Poultry Plant and Carolina Freezer were bought from the North Carolina Business Development Corp. About 100 jobs will be created with future expansion possible. The governor’s office calls Morton the nation’s largest prepared frozen food processor.
