Public Works Funds Approved by House Committee

The House Appropriations Committee voted 1 074 041 500 dollars for fiscal year starting July 1 addressed by President Eisenhower. Two Burke Men's Bodies Found After Neighbor Dispute

Morganton North Carolina police found the bodies of Robert Lee Epley and Ambers Lenoir Buff outside a neighbor's home after a Sunday quarrel with Ray Duckworth. Both men were shot and authorities pursued Duckworth as a suspect as bloodhounds failed to recover a trail. The regional investigation noted a prior knife incident during a drinking session and gunshots heard in the Duckworth area the night of the killings.
