Vacation School Opens at First Presbyterian Church
Families and the faith week marks the annual family vacation school at First Presbyterian Church began Sunday with courses for all ages. Adults and senior high youth join four main sessions led by Rev. M M Foust from Jamestown Presbyterian on Christian Parenthood and Rev. Horace Stoessel from Covenant Presbyterian on wisdom literature. Rev. Angus McGregor leads Tangled World focusing on Christian responses to modern issues.

Accidents Report From Local Streets and DUI Charge
A cyclist collided with the Sechrest car on Oakwood Street with no charges. Mary Osborne, 49, of Charlotte, faced a DUI charge after backing into Charlotte Mullis, 23, on Lincoln Street near midnight causing minor damage. At 4:15 a.m. Sunday, James Rudolph Dubose, 22, of Route 1 sustained minor injuries in a separate crash.
