Expected to Testify in Peonage Case in Georgia
James Felton, a negro, suspected of making sensational peonage claims in Oglethorpe county Georgia, is being taken by train to Athens for a chance to corroborate his story that about 50 black farm workers were held in bondage on Dr. King’s property. Felton may testify in the United States district court trial of Dr. W R King beginning today. Police withheld route details. The British Medical Association has abandoned its effort to set a standard for judging drunkenness.
